    • The 2nd Episode of the UPPA Podcast Explains Biomimicry

      The second episode of Sciences Ouvertes, the UPPA research podcast, focuses on the work of the Manta Marine Materials Chair, which develops materials that are both inspired by marine models (biomimicry) and bio-sourced, i.e. of marine origin (fishing waste). This approach reduces the impact on the marine environment. These biomaterials could be used by regenerative medicine or the cosmetics industry.

      On March 10, 2022, the Prime Minister announced the permanent labelling of the last 8 university initiatives of excellence, including that of the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA), joining the 9 already confirmed. Five million euros will thus be permanently allocated to UPPA each year.
