Clement Bleuet, laureate of the competition "ENERGIES & TERRITORIES"TROGNON: small size but great impact

On February 7th, Clément Bleuet was nominated as a winner of the Energies and Territories competition. Currently registered with the ENSGTI, Clément is also a “Student Entrepreneur” (since January 2019) accompanied by E2S UPPA, in the framework of its Entrepreneurship action.

The Energies and Territories competition

Launched during the 2nd edition of the ENERGIES & TERRITORIES symposium, which took place in Pau, on September 26th, the competition focuses on the theme of innovation at the service of the energy transition in the territories.

Organised by the CACG, the Crédit Agricole and Teréga, the competition is intended for students from all regional higher education establishments, from BAC + 2 to BAC + 5, in the academies of Bordeaux and Toulouse. This competition is an occasion for the CACG to illustrate its commitment in supporting the birth and the development of initiatives meaningful for our territories. In order to gather and question around a concrete issue, the organisers addressed the following question to the candidates - alone or in teams:

What adaptations (technical, economic, organizational, and societal, etc.) of the production of renewable energy, or its storage, would meet the needs of an isolated dwelling, a group of houses, or even a small community?

TROGNON, Clément’s project

Clément Bleuet is interested in anaerobic digestion (or methanation) by compost. TROGNON is an organic waste management service intended for caterers, canteens, supermarkets… who will be supported in sorting waste and in adopting a circular economy approach. The goal is to collect bio waste separately, to direct it to small platforms for composting and, ultimately, biogas production. The platforms will then be able to sell an organic fertilizer, produced locally, and allowing a return to the earth of different nutrients.

Awards

In order to support the development of the selected projects and to offer the best chances to the candidates, the three projects considered the most promising will benefit not only from financial support but also from a technical follow-up provided by the three organizing companies.

As one of the three laureates, the TROGNON project now benefits from an endowment of 1000 € as well as an accompaniment, for six months, by the three sponsors of the competition (cf. the picture opposite).

At the end of this six months period, the team designated as the winner of the competition will be granted the sum of 3000 € and the opportunity to present their project at the next "Energies and Territories" symposium.
